Ring bells! Bang the drums! You are gonna love this exciting stage adaptation of the legendary tale of the lovable thief with the heart of gold! Join Aladdin, Jasmine, and the fast-talking, wisecracking Genie as they discover mystical caves, take magic carpet rides, and outwit the evil sorcerer, Jafar. Adapted especially for young performers, this musical includes favorite Alan Menken songs such as “Friend Like Me,” “A Whole New World,” and “Prince Ali,” as well as wonderful new songs added for the Broadway production. With new, colorful characters and nonstop adventure, Aladdin JR. is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for all ages!

Camp Details

July 8 -12, 2024

9 AM – 3:30 PM each day

 at Living Hope Church, 3030 Schoolhouse Rd, Middletown, PA 17057

For students in grades 4 -12 (18 years of age or younger) in the 2024-2025 school year and 2024 graduates meeting the age requirement

​

Students will have a week of fun and engaging theatre activities that will culminate in a simple one hour performance on Friday, July 12 at 4 pm.

No experience necessary!

Auditions - â€‹June 8 from 10 am - 2 pm at Living Hope Church

 Families will pick up a script for students wanting to be in the ensemble or students will audition for a role at a designated time and leave with a script in hand.  They will sign up for a 10-minute slot, with 3-4 students for each 10 minute slot.  

 

Those auditioning for Narrators must be 6th grade and up. Those auditioning for Aladdin, Jasmine, Jafar and Genie must be 8th grade and up.

 
Campers are expected to attend the full week and come to camp having memorized their parts of the script and being familiar with the music. If campers cannot attend the full week, they will be placed in the ensemble.

Cost

  $225 for families who have participated in Encore's plays or musicals

     $250 for families who have never participated in Encore's plays or musicals

Camp cost includes t-shirt, materials, and instruction

​

Things to Bring

  • Camp t-shirt, to be worn for performance

  • Black jazz shoes

  • Long black pants or leggings for performance

  • Lunch and water bottle

  • Comfortable, modest clothes that you can easily move in. 

​

Encore will take measures to keep campers safe while attending camp, but parents must sign a waiver to assume all risks.
